Patient arrived to ER via ambulance for a seizure. Dr. Moore released patient 2 hours later for unexplained seizure. He gave patient a referral to neurologist who specializes in seizures only; no anti seizure meds prescribed. After the fact, we discovered CT Scan showed a spot. Report states results were given to Dr. Moore; zero communication regarding spot was given to patient. Thankfully PCP looked at report and scheduled MRI. MRI results (1 week 1 day after seizure) = brain tumor. Dr. Moore should have discovered this in the ER. Wasted trip to neurologist as he doesn't deal with tumor although he was upset anti seizure meds were not prescribed in ER so he wrote a script. Had to wait another week for appt with a neurosurgeon who deals with brain tumors.
