We were referred to this place for my daughter to have a broken tooth removed. When we were leaving, they made me pay $104. I was not given a receipt or told what I was being charged for. After we left, I double-checked with my insurance, and they said that the visit should have been covered 100% and should have only cost $46. I called the dental office to ask what exactly I was charged for. They told me that according to them, I've already used my insurance benefits for the year, and when insurance doesn't cover it, they charge the patient more because legally, they're allowed to. I would argue that even though it's legal, it's not ethical. I told them so. Because I questioned their billing policies, they will no longer remove the tooth for my daughter. She is in pain, and they would rather leave a child in pain than run an ethical business. I also called my insurance company, and they said they have received the claim for our visit, and it's in the process of being paid out, but this dental office used the last of our benefits for the year so anywhere else I go, I will have to pay out of pocket. So now my daughter has to live in pain until next year, and the dental office got double paid. I would never recommend this place to anyone.
