Our experience with Dr. Morteza Shatery was disappointing. While he may be medically knowledgeable, he showed a lack of empathy and compassion toward his patients. Comments such as “You’re going to die if you don’t stop this,” “You need to toughen up,” and “You’re being a child” are not appropriate or supportive—especially for a patient in distress seeking help in an emergency room setting.
