I had an appointment with Dr. Krishnan in October 2024, hoping to gain a better understanding of my diagnosis and discuss treatment options that work for me. Unfortunately, my experience was extremely disappointing.From the moment she entered the room, I could tell that I was not going to be listened to. She did not review my chart or records and instead relied solely on a small notebook. She immediately asked, 'What do you want me to do?' in a way that felt dismissive rather than supportive. When I tried to explain my history and concerns, she shut me down, unwilling to consider any perspective beyond the notes from a previous colleague. Her mind seemed made up before I even had a chance to speak.What was supposed to be a one-hour appointment lasted only 15 minutes, ending abruptly when she firmly shut the door as she left. I left in tears and feeling unheard, discouraged, and as though my diagnosis didn't matter because it is secondary.I do matter and my diagnosis is real.
