I feel Dr Hoffman is an excellent physician that is efficient and straight forward. Sometimes dealing with situations and tough issues giving patients and family answers they don’t want to hear. In order to be fair to the patient she must remain consistent which may appear that she is not being empathetic when in fact it is quite the opposite. Diluting the truth does not help the family nor the patient begin the healing or the dealing with the issues. Anger is often a response to bad news. It’s important to be fair I don’t like bad news either but it doesn’t mean the person delivering the news is wrong.
