I was referred to Dr. Ahmad after being diagnosed with type one diabetes. Dr. Ahmad did nothing to help given the difficult situation I was placed in as a 26-year-old. I should’ve immediately been placed on a CGM. I experienced severe low blood sugars in my first year of diagnosis, and could’ve easily died. Dr. Ahmad actually propose giving me a CGM for one week and then taking it away again. I was not actually able to get under control until another doctor gave me a real CGM prescription. He needs to retire ASAP, he should’ve retired eight years ago actually long before. Avoid this horrible doctor, his methods were probably great in 1970 but we’re well past that. Find a real acclaimed doctor in private practice not a hospital doctor like this. I look back and it’s still unbelievable what I went through in the first year of diagnosis. He was a large cause of many of my issues considering that technology that existed in 2017 was much better than what he provided me.
