I went into the ER with severe head pains, body aches, fever, chills, nausea ect. I came there nervous and as an absolutely last resort because I’ve had bad experiences in the past. Before coming in, I’ve been back and forth for over 2 hours trying to weigh my options and not feel like I’m being dramatic. I went into there nervously but only because I was in so much pain and needed care ASAP. My resting heart rate was over 120 and peaked at 140 even before I was nervous. Dr. Morin made me feel invalidated and that I was being dramatic because I tested negative for Covid and my oxygen levels were fine. Even now, I feel like going was a mistake and all I did was ridicule and embarrass myself. I think it’s unfair how doctors treat young people and don’t take their conditions seriously. If he would’ve handled the situation better and not talked to me in a demeaning matter, I wouldn’t have to leave a review like this. I already came into the ER nervous and doubting myself and my condition and he made me feel worse and unwelcome. He didn’t even want to prescribe me antibiotics and basically suggested that I just “let it pass” and said to buy NyQuil. I had to go back and forth with him just to get an antibiotics prescription as my symptoms have been prevalent for 3 weeks. I felt unwelcome, obviously I already tried over-the-counter medication for my sickness and I wouldn’t have come to the ER if it wasn’t the absolute last resort. Anyways, this is my own personal experience with this doctor so don’t let it dictate your decision. But just as a warning, if your young (under 30) chances are they won’t take you seriously. This bad experirnce along with many others in the past, sheds light on how messed up our healthcare providers are. Next time I fall ill, I will not being going to the doctor I’d rather die than get embarrassed and ridiculed again.
