I went to the emergency room Thursday night after being in a car wreck. My blood pressure was high and my back was aching when I went in to talk to the doctor about the two he said he was just not treating my blood pressure when it was clearly 200/181 they checked it a total of six times while I was there he explained to me that he was not gonna treat my blood pressure and he was only gonna treat my back pain and he is my doctor and he’s gonna do whatever he wants to do although I was already being treated. My doctor and my doctor has changed my medicine and try me out on a new medicine. The doctor was extremely rude and felt to explain to me why he’s not treating me for my high blood pressure. I explain to him that is so high. What if I have a stroke or anything happens When I leave, he said I’m gonna make sure nothing happens to you in a very rude way so I explain to him that I’m very dizzy and I refer to him check my hit my blood pressure and see why that’s high versus my back. He also said I will not treat you for blood pressure I’m only treating your back. I said why are you being so rude? He explain to me because I said it three times and you’re frustrating . I told him to hold on what can you explain this to my big sister who I was calling on the phone he walked out of the office on me. He made me so nervous and uncomfortable. I literally wanted to leave, but I was in so much pain I did stay so I asked for the nurse to come Ian after explaining it to my sister and the nurse, they explained it to me the way the doctor should have this man is rude and unprofessional, and I believe he is a racist. I’m a black young lady who came in and experience the worst and this emergency department. He also said it to me that I’m the only doctor here as if it’s my fault that he was the only doctor I was willing to wait and be patient but his rudeness made me uncomfortable. I would not go to the emergency room at St. Vincent East Birmingham, Alabama ever again because of him. This incident happened December 5 around 10 PM at night at st. Vincent East
