Been a patient of Dr. Patel for a few years, would highly recommend him, he’s very knowledgeable and treats people with kindness and compassion

He made the decision to not allow me to be a patient since I had cancelled/rescheduled a few appointments there with a different doctor 2 or 3 years ago. He also advised me that I can no longer see any doctor at that facility! He also implied that I was more serious about getting pain medication than treatment. Which is strange since I've never asked any Dr there for pain medication.. I was asking for pain injections in my back like I've been getting for years! Had he bothered to look at my medical records he would clearly see that due to enzymes in my liver pain medication specifically strong pain medicine has absolutely no effect on me whatsoever! So, it would be pointless to even ask for pain medication. I received a call from a very rude woman telling me that I couldn't be treated there . They waited until the day before my appointment which I had scheduled months ago to call. I could have already found a new Dr by now.. but instead I'm in excruciating pain because I haven't had the injections in my back for quite awhile! Then he personally sends me a rude message... But doesn't allow for you to be able to even respond! And, just FYI.. the reason I cancelled a few appointments a couple years ago is due to my mental illness. Not only am I bipolar I also suffer from severe depression and severe obsessive compulsive disorder. Unfortunately there are days I can't leave the house and there's days I can't even get out of bed. I'm not asking for special treatment but they should have given me an opportunity to explain what I had to cancel a few appointments! He said he was sending me a release form for my medical records! Which they shouldn't even have considering the fact that not only are they not treating me but it's pretty clear no one bothered to look at my records.. I'm beyond surprised he has a 5 star rating on this site . My guess is that friends or family members did the reviews or someone made them all up! My opinion is no one should ever go-to Dr Patel for anything!
