I had my teeth cleaned twice, and it hurt both times. The second time my mouth hurt for several days afterwards. The tool that he uses for cleaning seems to be a sharp pick which I endured, but which actually irritated my mouth, including my gums and nerves. I told the doctor and he said it was because my gums were receding but that doesn’t make sense because I have never had a painful cleaning before.
