Dr. Olakunle Ajayi is amazing. In 2021, he performed a lateral internal sphincterotomy which cured a fissure that had plagued me for 20 years. He was kind, comforting, professional, and did an excellent job. Prior to meeting Dr. Ajayi, I had seen a ton of other doctors and tried everything they recommended and more: nitroglycerin, nifedipine, lidocaine, three rounds of onabotulinumtoxinA, high-fiber diet, fasting, 3 sigmoidoscopies, pelvic floor muscle exercises, magnesium, walking daily, sitz baths, etc.--nothing worked. I was fearful of having post-surgery incontinence issues but other then a few small events and some minor bleeding during the first year after surgery, I am completely healed, pain-free, and fissure-free for the past three years. It is a miracle to have my life back and I can't thank Dr. Ajayi enough.
