Dr Plata is very arrogant. He doesn’t listen. my psychiatrist for 15years prescribed my meds. Dr Plata changed every single medication without explaining to me. He discontinued my tradzadone and he discontinued my Doxapin. He decrease my clonaapam from 3 mg to 1 mg. He increased my lithium and seraquil. He did not give me any explanations. I have been bipolar for 40 years. When I asked him for an answer why he changed my meds. I am a BSN RN. I asked him for evidence based practice as to why he changed all my meds. He answered I could look it up on the internet when I got home. Horrible Doctor and I am a medical professional. On discharge I was sent to this horrible office where I was promised to get a psychiatrist. Wrong. It was a telaheakth finidh with a nurse who cannot even prescibe my medicine. Alos this nutse told me I was supposed beto be taking Trazadone and I gave the asst nurse 4 discharge pages which all said discontinue Trazadone. I don’t know what to do. I don’t know who to believe. multiple medications errors and I think Dr plata should be held accountable and if Halifax doesn’t deal with it I will go to the Medical Board

He was a great doctor, who helped me when I was not in a good state, and went above his duty’s to make sure I was safe and adequately cared for. I am very grateful because I am so much better today!
