The best doctor. Dr Brandt is kind and compassionate and is one of the best drs I’ve ever had the pleasure of seeing in my life. Going to a dr for obesity is HARD. You feel judged in the best of circumstance, but dr Brandt is not like that. She does everything possible to be supportive and encouraging, does not rush you or cut you off. The other patients comment about pain mgmt is confusing to me-dr Brandt isn’t a pain mgmt dr. I’m a chronic pain pt myself and found her extremely understanding and validating of my limitations. She never suggested my pain was related to my weight, which many other drs have (without bothering to learn my history). I am so glad to have been referred to her, I really feel her care has changed my life. I wish she was a PCP cuz then i’d actually go to one. Give her a chance if you are overweight and struggling, esp if you’ve had surgery and limited success. She truly represents what medicine and compassionate care should be. I wish all drs were like her.
