I presented to the ER for a simple PICC line removal. When Dr. Ross entered the room she interrogated me with an oppositional demeanor. She interrupted me each time I tried to communicate with her. I am 80 years old so it was very unnerving. My wife is my best friend and medical advocate (she helps me express my needs, and I am my own person so I deserve to have my needs heard and validated!) I wanted my wife to advocate for me, but Dr. Ross became very oppositional with her and would not let my wife speak without interrupting her. Then, after treating both of us horribly, she had the nerve to call me 'my patient' - even though I just met her 10 minutes before and I was very frustrated with her. We had much better luck once the ER house supervisor came in and actually treated us with compassion and humanity. There was also a nurse there named Beth who was exceptionally compassionate and professional. Maybe Dr. Ross was having a bad day, but I hope to never cross her path again.
