Dr. Patrick Battista, DDS

In July 2025 my root canal was done by Dr Battista’. On the same day another CBCP was recommended for another tooth at the lower left side. But they did a CBCT on the wrong tooth on the opposite side. I had to do another CBCT. I paid over $1800 out of pocket just that one day, not including other visits I spent on that tooth, since they wanted the whole payment before any possible insurance payment. The pain was worse for 3 months. In Oct 2025 my dentist told me that nothing she could adjust. She referred me to an oral surgeon to have the tooth pulled. Dr Battista’ office refused any refund. I had to file the small claim court at Town of Amherst for some of my money back with Max of $2500. He did not want to offer any sentiment, not even any amount that could be less than I had paid for his services, instead he hired a lawyer to help him to attend the court. While I could not afford a lawyer. Judge stated I had no evidence to support the claim. I am not sure how much he paid the lawyer considering the refund he could offer me.

Absolutely the best anesthesia for dental work I have ever received! So it turns out a root canal can be totally pain-free (without sedation). Don't be afraid to go. He's a great doctor and I recommend him without reservation. He explains everything, is obviously knowledgable and is very gentle. I can't wait to have my next root canal!
