I will start with I do not have private health insurance. Secondly, I am an AA female. I was referred to the Northampton location for a consult. After a few preliminary questions, I expected to be weighed, have blood drawn and or blook pressure taken. I disclosed that I lost a brother less than two years ago and he had severe apnea. I also disclosed that my partner has stated that my breathing literally stops when I am asleep, with heavy snoring. Any of the aforementioned would have been welcome. I was denied a sleep study one day later from Dr. Walting, whom I never even met. The receptionist took my info. Social disparities with minorities is real.
