My aunt’s PCP was changed to Dr. Atigre the day prior to her emergency hospitalization. In short, she hadn’t met him before. She had a long standing history with her previous PCP and had no preconceived impression of him.My aunt would ultimately discover that his bedside manners were impeccable. He meticulously explains what’s going on, ensuring the patient understands the next plan of actionand what can be expected afterwards. Dr. Atigre projects kindness, seems to genuinely care about his patients overall health and wellness. My aunt’s admission was lengthy due to her complicated history, yet we could rest assured that he would arrive early each morning providing a thorough assessment. Ultimately he won my aunt’s trust and respect. I dare say she can be a handful and she’s very opinionated too, but as a sharp senior citizen, she demands and recognizes quality care, which he provided.
