It’s hard for me to imagine a doctor whose job it is to work with elderly, many with terrifying memory issues, have a more terrible bedside manner. I was there today with my 84 year old mom who most likely is in the early stages of dementia. Dr Phillip Godard’s demeanor was at best cold, mechanical and indifferent. Not once did he ask my mom how she was doing, if she had concerns or questions. His evaluation was cursory at best. When he was done he spoke to me and completely ignored my mom, as if she wasn’t even there. He rattled off some further tests and concluded the visit without so much as a kind word or even an opportunity for questions. Maybe it’s time for this guy to retire. Do your family a favor. Go somewhere else.
