She dismissed a diagnosis I received from a top specialist at VCU that I’m currently receiving treatment for. She was not receptive to my symptoms, and was not open to testing I requested based on the recommendation from my other providers and diagnoses. My Physical therapist who I’ve been seeing for a year for nerve pain recommended to get a 2nd opinion because of Dr. D’s approach & summary of my visit - basically disregarding my pain symptoms as being structural and instead stemming from headaches or alluding to it all being in my head due to many of my imaging &tests being normal. She started my visit summary notes with my mental health diagnoses which were not relevant to the visit and further dismissive. If you have anxiety plus hEDS or POTS I do not recommend this provider. I wish I could undo seeing her, I feel like she has thrown a wrench in my already very exhausting 2 year journey of seeking diagnoses & proper care. Very disappointing&invalidating experience I waited months 4
