Dr. Lopez is one of the few psychiatrists in the area that listens to what his patients say, both the parent and child. He takes the time to explain the effects of new medications, why he chose this medicine for your child, and asks how it is working upon your next visit. If your child has plateaued or if their current dose is ineffective and you feel an increase is needed, he will check his notes and give an increase. He is overworked as one of the few that accepts Medicaid, but seems to care.
