I saw Rakhee Devasthali for years hoping to get care for chronic illness. She never was able to figure out what was going on with my body, and over time she began getting angrier and angrier with me when I would come back into her office with the same or worsened symptoms. I lost a lot of weight unexpectedly and without trying—I did not want to lose weight, I was very ill—and she got upset with me and would not talk about the weight loss as a symptom. She would often forget to follow through on tests and referrals. I trusted her branding and reputation in the community, but I do not think she is qualified beyond the most simple or basic needs. Anything beyond her capacity made her very upset. Ultimately her “care” left me with medical trauma. I am lucky to have competent physicians now and the difference is night and day.
