Recently I scheduled an appointment for a cleaning and exam. I submitted my new insurance card , the same dental plan I have been using for years. I was led to the exam room, The hygienist promptly told me that I have Periodontal disease, very RUDELY! Yes, I am aware, as 68 percent of seniors have this condition. Mine is well under control. She then demanded that to have the cleaning I Must return for a full set of x_rays. I agreed. The hygienist then left the room and returned several times. As the exam progressed the office manager, Linda, came to the doorway of the small room and with a very aggressive, hostile tone said " This must STOP NOW, We do NOT accept your Insurance!" I was so shocked I could not speak!! I was not informed politely, was not asked how I would like to initiate payment. I have paid numerous visits out of pocket between new employment. As I left I became aware that a patient overheard the entire confrontation!! I am now looking for another dentist.
