I was recently at San Ramon regional emergency for acid reflux. Had to go to emergency as PCP was out and I threw up few times. Although the condition was not as severe, Dr. Thiara suggested unnecessary lab work and ultrasound which resulted in high fees for my insurance and myself. The results were all normal and there was no need for such intense lab work.
