My mom saw him July 2020 and he was instrumental in correctly diagnosing her pancreatic cancer, however if we had continued with his treatment plan my mother would have only received chemo as he deemed her ineligible for surgery stating that it would be too complicated and the location of the tumor made it inoperable. We chose to see a pancreatic cancer specialist at a university research hospital and thankfully after reviewing her history and discussing her previous excellent physical condition , they felt that they could pursue an aggressive chemo treatment followed by surgery and then another round of chemo. This decision saved my mothers life. Dr. Rasa is a very nice and knowledgeable doctor but he was not well- informed for an appropriate cancer treatment for my mother. My mother is cancer-free today.
