Dr. Ferris was, unfortunately, one of the worst experiences I’ve had with a healthcare provider. I visited a few months ago for a routine OBGYN appointment and shared with the nurse that I do not use birth control due to religious reasons and that I successfully practice natural family planning. Despite this, Dr. Ferris repeatedly pressured me to get a birth control prescription. When I mentioned wanting children soon, he was dismissive, and just said I was “so young”… it was incredibly strange. Additionally, after I shared that I rarely have bad cramps, he recommended taking an excessive amount of ibuprofen a few days before my period, which felt careless and frankly dangerous.Overall, he seemed more focused on textbook answers than on truly listening to or understanding me as a patient. If you’re in the family-planning stage or looking for a doctor who genuinely cares, I would strongly recommend going elsewhere. I will not be returning.
