Patient Reviews
Sep 06, 2024
Dr. Dinsmore still practices oncology, palliative care despite his advanced age and my families experience with his care was not one we would recommend to others! Practicing in medicine as a primary care provider for 30 years as a Physician Assistant I have seen both good and bad medicine. Dr. Dinsmore pushed for aggressive chemotherapy and then radiation treatments for my father in law despite having stage 4 lymphoma disease with several metastases to the bones. As my FIL declined with continued treatments and unfortunately persistent spread of the disease, Dr. Dinsmore insisted there was still hope and insisted on continued treatment. Sometimes the treatment kills the patient before the disease can. Giving false hope to patients that have aggressive, advancing cancers is dishonest. My in laws asked to stop treatment and be referred to Hospice but he said 'not yet'. My in laws and their sons were robbed of a dignified, more peaceful death that Hospice could have provided for them.
