I learned from a cat scan for kidney stones that I also had an inguinal hernia, and I received a recommendation to see Dr. Harrell. When I walked into his office for my first appointment, Dr Harrell had already seen the cat scan and very quickly informed me of the extent of my injury, how it could be fixed (including waiting awhile before having the surgery), what the surgery would entail, what my post-surgery pain would be like and how long my recovery would last before being able to do everything I could do previously.Dr Harrell is super nice and is a great listener who quickly gained my trust and made me feel completely comfortable with him and the surgery. On the day of my surgery, he spoke with my wife and I at length, answered all questions and made both of us really glad he was my doctor. He also updated my wife after the surgery and she agrees with me that Dr Harrell is excellent and also really nice, informative and super cool. Everything you want in your surgeon!
