WITHOUT looking closely at my husband's chart refused to prescribe him anything stronger than gabapentin for his crippling back pain that he was admitted to the hospital for days ago. When we asked a direct question why felt this was the best course for HIM - my husband specifically he answered, '35 years of medicine.' That did not answer the question at all. Then followed up with, 'you aren't getting narcotics from me.' We would LOVE for my husband to not be in pain - but something just a few to get my husband through in the time for a consult to a neurosurgen ridiculous he encouraged my husband to go to the ER if he was in that type of pain - he is still in pain. He clearly doesn't care. He is full of himself.
