Patient Reviews
Apr 05, 2024
We are now a whole week post ear tube/adenoid removal. Our daughter had the same procedure (2 sets of tubes and adenoids removed) at a different ENT so we are pretty experienced in the recovery process. Our pediatrician suggested trying Topeka because we would get in faster. Shame on us for not checking in with the local ENT and shame on our pediatrician for not knowing who they were recommending. But mostly shame on Dr. Lane. 7 days post procedure our son can barely turn his head without pretty intense neck pain. 3 days out from surgery he was crying super hard about a severe headache and ear pain. After almost 20 minutes on hold I reached an ENT nurse and explained what was going on. After getting an appt the nurse practitioner gave us some causes for the pain, more info than we received from Dr. Lane or the post op nurses. Lastly, the day of the procedure Dr. Lane couldn’t be inconvenienced to step all the way into the room post surgery to check on our son or answer any questions. Such a bad experience all around. This place is a factory for simple surgeries and lacks any sort of bedside manner or common decency when dealing with loved ones.
