Dr. McCarthy has been incredible throughout this scary and stressful journey. My prostate cancer was diagnosed in a timely manner using the latest testing and technology available. During this process Dr. McCarthy took time to address all of my questions and to discuss my options in detail, even suggesting a 2nd opinion which he helped schedule with a local radiation oncologist. After extensive research and follow up appointments to address my specific questions and concerns; I opted to have the prostatectomy. The surgery went well (Davinci robotic surgery) and my recovery has gone very well (I was home the day after surgery). Most importantly I am cancer free and no more treatment is needed at this time. His staff has also been great (Sandy & Nathan especially) throughout this process. Dr. McCarthy's professionalism, communication (outstanding bedside manner) and surgical skills are exceptional!
