My first visit I was asked to have blood work taken. I did and one of the request for work was a Vitamin D test. Unknown to me approximately 5 years ago the government found that Vitamin D testing was not necessary for medical care and as a result no insurance company will cover and no company providing blood work services will advise in advance that it isn't covered. As a result I was forced to pay over $300.00 for that one test when I was never told it was optional by Jamie Shoshany an associate Doctor in Dr. Chay's office.
