Overworked, unprofessional, jaded. During my three-minute office visit, Dr. Merino found time to lecture me about my tardiness, complain about incompetent co-workers, and discuss his desire to find a new job. Missing in that time was any in-depth discussion of my symptoms or what I can do to resolve them. I understand where he is coming from because he has to see one patient every twenty minutes (he showed me the schedule), and folks at the front desk indeed forgot to update my pharmacy, so they ended up sending the medicine to the incorrect location. To be fair, I was one minute late (7:41AM) to my (7:40AM) appointment, so I will take partial responsibility here. I am going to go ahead and assume that Dr. Merino and staff are overextended and exhausted from the pandemic, but folks definitely need a reset. In the end I am still not really sure what is causing my symptoms, but hopefully a new doctor can help me figure it out.
