Patient Reviews
Dec 10, 2024
I am 70 and for as long as I can remember my left shoulder never looked or felt like my right. It was only after a bike accident in Mar 2024 that I really messed up my shoulder. PT got rid of pain and gave full range of motion, but I eventually got an MRI showing a rotator tear. Interviewed three orthopedists with one simple subjective complaint, which was that 'for many decades my left shoulder never felt right.' Dr. Petrie was the only one that took time to do a full hands-on medical interview. As it turns out 3 tendons were torn @ 100%, 98% and 75%; 5 anchors installed (typically 2-3); surgery time over 2.5 hours (typically 45-60 min), ending in a 5-page report for me. He fully explained later what he did and stated that '...it was a lot of work, but it's gratifying to take all these things and bring them back to where they belong...' and 'I got it all.' and finally, 'You needed this.' He's a great doc and if you choose him, be a great patient and follow orders. He deserves it.
