I do not write reviews often. A business has to be really good or really bad. In this case, Dr. Ruth Celestin Plastic Surgery is REALLY BAD. The first word that comes to mind is, "BEWARE!"I had a tummy tuck with drains.First, time I met Dr. Celestin was during my consultation. The last time I saw her was the morning of my surgery. She was not there when I woke up nor was she at any of my follow-up appointments. Too ashamed to show her face? I say this because of my experience during recovery and the botched job I received. I In hindsight, Dr. Celestin was cheaper than the other plastic surgeons I met with for the same procedure. But as the old saying goes, "You get what you pay for." Even though I did not spend much money on the front end, I have had to spend money on the back end for post op care and I will have to spend money on revision surgery. My belly button looks weird and I have a dog ear that needs to be removed. There were drains placed on my left and right hip which have left two dark scars. I wished that the Doctor had disclosed that I would have those two scars in addition to the tummy tuck and belly button scarring. I have friends that had the same procedure with different doctors and none of them have those scars. I assumed that I wouldn't either. My mistake for assuming and not asking enough/the right questions.At the beginning of my post Surgery visits, they were responsive. But I had serious questions about the swelling and lack of healing around one of the drains, my belly button and the several areas along my incision. It looked as if the incision was coming apart! They never called me back for any follow up appointments beyond 4 weeks. Maybe they knew they had messed up and there was nothing more that they could do for me. Of course they had already been paid and I wasn't getting money back so what do they care if I'm happy with my results or not and healing properly? Thankfully, I was able to find a more experienced Plastic surgeon who was able to tend to the infected areas and my wounds closed in 2 weeks! So again I say, "BEWARE!" of Dr. Ruth Celestin. She did not give me the results that I was looking for and the customer service, compassion and post operative care that I deserved. Plastic Surgery is a serious procedure and I hope everyone reading this does not make the same mistake that I made. I do not recommend Dr. Ruth Celestin to any of my friends or family.
