I saw Dr Ruth Mathis at Piedmont ER for an infection and was correctly Dx on the spot. The doctor confirmed the infection with blood work and I was immediately started on IV antibiotics and observed for several hours with very specific instructions prior to being discharged. Dr Mathis knowledge, keen observations, concern, attention to detail and empathy are head and shoulders above her contemporaries. In view of current healthcare provider's, I not only find this service refreshing, but reassuring that with some medical professionals the word 'professional' truly means something to them. Perhaps with others, it's more about profit and prestige. After nearly 20 years as a certified, licensed Healthcare profession in 5 states, I know quality when I see it and that is the case with Dr Ruth Mathis and her team at Piedmont ER!Thank You!
