On Sept 22, 2024 I had a freak accident. I fell full force on my left knee replacement which broke my femur. The pain was exquisite. I was rushed to a trauma center, St Joseph’s Hospital and met the most amazing Doctor and human being, Dr Ryan Dowling. He was never rushed. He was fully available to answer any questions as he explained my only option to surgically repair my femur which was with plates and screws. His team was equally kind and generous with their time. I was prepped for surgery. I came out of surgery and never had one pain pill post op. The knee of my surgical leg flexes at 120 degrees and is fully extended. Dr Dowling saved my life and is so encouraging and kind at each appointment. I had never heard of him or of St Joseph’s Trauma Hospital until that fateful night. I now tell everyone I know about this remarkable experience with Dr Dowling and about this amazing hospital in Paterson, NJ.
