My mother is 92 and has a pacemaker put in by this doctor. She visited him today and the doctor mentioned high calcium levels, CANCER!!!!, and thyroid. However, he did not provide her with any paperwork to give to her primary or any follow up recommendations. How do you say the word cancer to anyone and just blow it off? When I go to my doctor, when I leave the print out what my BP was, my pulse rate, my weight and what we discussed! What medications were called in, and what I'm supposed to do next!! I'm 58! My mother is 92 and she's supposed to remember it all? Simple. Tell the patient what's wrong and print out your findings and follow ups required and recommendations!!
