In our instance, Dr. Sakiliba Mines pushed costly diagnostic practices that are not widely accepted in conventional internal medicine, while overlooking the need for specific conventional care, covered by insurance, to diagnose illness. Unlike other medical practices, she did not routinely give out a checklist to the patient during visits, wherein the checklist lists disease symptoms, for the patient to check off, which would aid her, the doctor, in diagnosing disease. Yet, in our case, she blamed our family member, who was her patient, for supposedly failing to disclose a health symptom to her. Yet, Dr. Mines overlooked medical information that she was well aware of, as noted in medical records.
