DR. ARMIN HAS TURNED ME & MY FAMILY’S LIVES INTO A NIGHTMARE THIS PAST WEEK!!! She has been both of my daughter’s PCP for YEARS! I have always spoken very highly of her & trusted her to care for my children, until NOW. she has followed my youngest daughter’s medical history since she was born. she was aware that my 2 year old toddler is very CURIOUS, ACTIVE & ACCIDENT PRONE. I have always brought her in to seek medical attention when any incident has occurred. Recently my daughter had a freak accident and I sought out medical attention virtually due to limited in-office appointments. I cancelled the follow up appt due to a bad storm and didn’t reschedule due to my daughter’s speedy recovery from her accident. the doctors office called 2 different times asking about the follow up & leaving voicemails, But with me being a very busy mom/business owner and working a full time job while caring for my visually impaired grandma, I didn’t catch the missed calls/voicemails. A week had not even passed by and Dr. Armin had CPS knocking at my door!!!!! CPS!!!!!!! keep in mind that me NOR my husband were NEVER contacted by Dr. Armin personally regarding this incident, we were only contacted vaguely (non urgent) by the front desk on rescheduling the follow up appt. Not a phone call, not a message through mychart with her “concern” or nothing. You would think that as a PCP you would personally contact the parents with your concern, but no! She went completely over our heads and straight to child protective services! I was so shocked and in disbelief that I nearly had a breakdown and had to be hospitalized myself for almost having a complete heart attack!!!! I later spoke to her and asked why she would do this! I’ve always kept up with immunizations/well child visits etc. I’m a very hands on & proactive parent when it comes to these things & she knows this! I asked her “being that my child is extremely accident prone, what am I to do when & if another incident happens” and she did a SLIGHT CHUCKLE and said “well you bring her in and do what you’ve been doing”…Never in my life would I have imagined that this would be happening to me and my family! I feel like I’m in a dream. I have not slept in days! Me & my husband dedicate our lives to both of our children and we would lay down our lives for their safety! so you can only imagine how hurt & livid I am while all of this is happening. I was very hesitant to write this review due to me being a private person & let’s be honest this is completely embarrassing! but I feel as though other mom’s/parents should be aware of this. I do believe Dr. Armin should be evaluated thoroughly as far as protocol so that this will never happen to another innocent family again.
