When I was a teenager, I suffered a traumatic injury at Mid-Michigan Oral Surgery where Dr. Sean Pack burned my lower right face during a wisdom teeth removal surgery. Instead of promptly referring me to the nearby burn center for treatment, Dr. Pack dismissed my concerns, leading to improper healing, prolonged suffering, and permanent scarring. Only when over a month had passed and another dermatologist confirmed that it was a burn, did Dr. Pack show any signs of acknowledgement of my injury that spanned from my lips to my jawline. There is no treatment that can restore my skin to its pre-injury condition. Four years later, I continue to experience sensory problems and facial scarring in the area where the injury occurred.
