I was really disappointed with my experience with Dr. Bains, especially considering her positive reviews on handling complex cases. I was with her for over a year, but unfortunately, I didn't have the same positive experience. She didn’t seem sufficiently involved in my treatment process, and she rarely explained the reasoning behind her decisions. For example, she ordered a contrast MRI for me, which I agreed to because I trusted her. Unfortunately, it ended up being a poor choice that caused a significant negative reaction. I mentioned this to her, but I received no follow-up or response. Throughout my time seeing Dr. Bains, I frequently took antibiotics for strep, but she never offered to schedule additional appointments, nor did she suggest reviewing the tests to check for false positives or consider other potential causes for the recurring strep infections. It felt as though I was left to manage things on my own, and there was no attention given to the impact of the ongoing antibiotic treatments. Additionally, she referred me to other practitioners, but I don't believe she was truly vouching for them. One of these providers was attempting to get me into a service, but Dr. Bains didn't oversee the referral process, which led to a botched attempt. It seemed like there was little effort or attention to detail in her approach. Ultimately, I felt unsupported and not given the level of care I expected.
