I went to Dr. Berdia for almost a year because I did not know how to advocate for myself. On my first visit fresh out of the hospital she introduced herself and said, "You have a history of sexual abuse. Talk about that!" She often would ask questions and not let me finish answering them, telling me all the things I was doing wrong. Learning where I worked, for a tech company, she began to ask me questions about her computer and her devices and then would complain about their functionality, during appointments. When presented with any paperwork for my job she would dismiss it and tell me to give to to Lisa, the social worker and say, "If you can't handle the job you should be fired. If you worked for me I would have fired you." While on an accommodation for my job, she called up The Leave service office and cut down the number of days I was allowed which almost got me fired. She did this without notifying me, and said she did it because I was lazy and I didn't want to get better.
