Mercy Hospital, or any hospital, should not have this doctor on staff for people needing help! Dr Wood only consulted with patients' friends SHE asked to call, not the family members that experienced her illness firsthand and had to do a RIT to get their loved one in crisis help. His lack of interaction with the people that tried to get her treatment was lazy and very harmful. I have spoken to members of the community, and they have shared similar sentiments that he does not due his due diligence to learn about what brought the patient in. Dr. Wood has failed many families. If you have ever had to do a RIT to get your child help, it is brutal. To feel relief that your child is safe and will receive care is the reason you go through it. To learn your child was released and received no care, as well as never checking with the whole other side to get real concrete information is inhumane. Never followed up with his recommendations for counseling, really, after. Pure failure all around.

Dr. Wood is extremely patient and kind. He spends time with you and truly listens to what is going on with you. After being admitted to Alexian Brothers Behavioral Health with no will to live he helped me so much. I highly recommend him.
