I needed a spinal block. He assured me that my mild case of scoliosis would not be an issue. What should have taken 5 mins ended up taking what seemed like an hour. He made multiple (too many) painful attempts at the injection, blaming it on the scoliosis. Another anesthesiologist was called in, who successfully got it in the first shot. I left the hospital with 16 puncture wounds in my back. Unacceptable.
