Visited Dr Montes and she said we could do a nail biopsy if I wanted to be extra safe (she said it's not really necessary, just a 'too be safe' procedure, in order to rule some things out). I CLEARLY stated she could only do this if the labs from their partner lab (Sagis DIagnostics) would be under $100 otherwise NOT to send it to them, which she promised. I was subsequently billed $940 from the lab alone (unauthorized at that amount) and $369 from her office. I had to dispute this forever, and still ended up paying $369 as well as $225 to the labs which was then self pay- i.e. did not even go towards my deductible. She tried to sell me on lots of other expensive procedures that another specialist later confirmed were not needed at all. She seems intent to make money off you and makes false statements around the costs- beware.
