Dr. Sridhar Vasireddy, MB Bs

I was dealing with horrible back pain for over a month and was only able to be out of bed for a couple hours a day! After going to two emergency rooms with no relief, I received a referral to Dr. V. and I was seen quickly for an exam. I had a kyphoplasty procedure scheduled. Dr. Vasireddy was kind and asked lots of questions. He was knowledgeable and was very caring. He was concerned about my pain and didn’t hesitate to prescribe pain medication. He has a great bedside manner and took his time with me. His office staff was patient with me and helped so much, especially Brian. The procedure was a miracle, and the pain was gone as soon as I woke up. I am so very appreciative to all of the staff in the office and especially the doctor. I would recommend them to anyone. It is great to be able to be on my feet again and to be out of pain.

Both Doctors Dar & Vasireddy have been my pain management doctor. I started out with Dr. Dar, & even though I like him & he’s a wonderful Pain Specialist, one time I had Dr. Vasireddy & he made me laugh & put me at such ease that from there on I requested he be my assigned doctor from then on. I was seeing them every 4-6 months for Radio-Frequency Ablations along my entire spine [I injured every single disc & vertebrae from my cervical discs (neck) all the way down to S-1 (the tailbone vertebra) in an accident that has left me with Degenerative Spine Disease, Anular Tears in the discs, slight Scoliosis to the right in the Thoracic Spine (upper back) & Spondylitis, along with Bilateral Bursitis in my shoulders & possibly in my left hip, severe Fibromyalgia, Osteoarthritis & a huge Tarlov Cyst that presses on my lower nerves causing Bilateral Sciatica, which with severe lower back pain already from my lower spine always going out & the Sciatica pain, often leaves me in tears & stuck bent over, so I can’t even move until a family member or neighbor comes to my rescue]. I was glad the Doctors both booked follow-up appointments to see how I was doing 2 weeks later, because sometimes (not often) the lower back &/or my neck needed to be tweaked with a little extra Radio-Frequency Ablation. I finally got to the point where I was doing so well, I only needed to see them every 9-12 months. Unfortunately, I then had to move to help take care of a sister dying from cancer, who lived with my mother, who was 85 at the time & they lived In the Southwest Medical Center area, quite a drive in always heavy I-10 & Loop 1604 East traffic. I had another Pain Specialist over this way after that, but she was never as good as these 2 doctors & ALL her office staff kept changing & were unfriendly + they treated people who had accidents & were either on Workers Comp, Medicaid, Medicare Disability & now Regular Medicare or a Medicare Managed Plan (HMO) like they were all faking their pain & drug seeking [I have been on the same medication & dosage since 1993 - 30 years, & it’s one of the lowest strength synthetic opioids, which is prescribed by my Rheumatologist actually, not the Pain Specialist (which because I hate her office so badly, I haven’t had any spinal treatment whatsoever in almost 5 years!), so I’m definitely not drug seeking & the only medication she ever prescribed for me was a pain cream!]. At this point, I will gladly drive all the way to Stone Oak Parkway to be seen by Doctors Vasireddy or Dar. They are the very best when it comes to concern for their patients, bedside manner, follow-up & patient education. I plan to start going to their practice again ASAP until (& probably after, too) I have 1 (or hopefully 2) Spinal Cord Stimulators put in (my last Spinal Cord Stimulator only covered the Thoracic & Cervical regions when really my worst pain is in the Lumbar Region & S-1). I’ll be going on dialysis soon, which is why I so urgently need to get the ball rolling with the Doctors & my Neurosurgeon, because dialysis will remove all my pain medication from my blood (instant drug withdrawal!) & I want to start getting RF-Ablations again, have my Tarlov Cyst drained (it’s huge & pressing on nerves, contributing to my lower back pain & Sciatica (because my Pain Specialist in the Medical Center refused to right up orders to have the built up fluid drained) & have the Spinal Cord Implants put in BEFORE I start dialysis, so I have some forms of pain control during dialysis (which is an extremely painful procedure in itself & more so if you’re pain medication dependent & have no method(s) whatsoever for pain control! I’m sure Doctors Vasireddy & Dar can help me with pain management & RF-Ablations & may have other alternative procedures they didn’t have before 2010 (that’s when I moved to the Medical Center) as so much fast-paced innovations in Pain Management have been developed in these last 13 years. I would recommend both Doctors Vasireddy & Dar in a heartbeat & if rated on a scale of 1-10, I would definitely give them a 10+!
