I had the worst experience with Dr. Lakner. I went to him for menopause symptoms, but he barely listened, repeated the same questions, and gave vague answers. When I asked about treatment options, he dismissed them all as ‘the same’—contradicting what the Menopause Society’s patient education portal clearly explains. I’m 46, and when I said my symptoms were hurting my personal and professional life, he brushed it off as just ‘aging.’ When I mentioned friends who found relief with certain treatments, he told me to see a psychiatrist. This is the last doctor you want to see during such a challenging time. Go to the Menopause Society’s website and find a certified physician instead.
