Dr. Winter has always been polite, direct & very professional. He repaired my L shoulder & rotator cuff in 2018. My insurance changed a few years ago & I had to switch to Atrium or pay a higher deductible. Once my insurance changed again in 2023, I was elated to know Orthocarolina & Novant both were in network. I don't like jumping providers. I'm not taking anything from Atrium. I just know the expertise I received 8 years ago with my other side. When my R shoulder hurt so much more continuously to where I couldn't bare to move it, I went in for an appt & to take x-rays because both shoulders were hurting. My L was ok with the pain coming from me shifting all weight to L side. The x-ray looked horrible on my R shoulder & had to be operated on. The most touching thing after we reviewed my x-rays was Dr. Winter telling me that therapy wouldn't help at this time & he was NOT going to put me through unnecessary radiation with a MRI to check my rotator cuff since he has to operate anyway.
