@ MCAS PATIENTS!!! Dr. Rubinstein is the ONLY dr I've encountered in my 2+ years of MCAS diagnostic & treatment hell who is truly knowledgeable AND deeply competent. I've been in the worst flare in my life and was able to see him, and in one 30 minute appointment I left with a 7-8 step action plan for stabilization, 3-4 new rescue meds, initial treatment protocols with back-up plans if they don't work and back-up plans for the back-up plans. In the last month I have communicated with him nearly every single day on MyHealth, even weekends. His plan has allowed me to make big strides in stabilizing just in the last month. He's also the only doctor I've had who just believes me. E.G. I don't have to argue with him that I'm hypersensitive to meds or fillers; he just gets it. I don't have to fight to convince him I'm suffering. THE CATCH: He's retiring in March and on sabbatical thru Oct. BUT even just 1 appt with him has been huge for me, and he's still accepting new patients for now.
