I was in the hospital for a couple years between HF and another a few hours up north. Dr. Guthrie did all of my surgeries at Henry Ford Detroit, over 20 surgeries. I also got to talk to him very frequently. When he did rounds, whenever I had a question, etc. while I was inpatient. He was is one of the best orthopedic surgeons there is. The amount of work he had to do on me was immense, and he always kept me updated throughout. Always kept me in the loop on his plans, explaining different routes we could take. I wrote a longer post but there’s a character limit. Trust me that he’s fantastic. Both inpatient and as an outpatient. 99.9% of my long post was positive, and there was only one negative. It wasn’t even about him. It was about his assistant, (she is an RN I believe, I don’t mean disrespect by calling her an assistant, but she was the person I had to deal with when I was no longer coming in monthly) and I doubt he even knows. She was not great to deal with at all. He’s A+
